🧵 Who Am I? I’m Donna, a passionate creator, a devoted mom, and the heart behind Novel-D Concepts. My journey began 16 years ago when I decided to blend my love for sewing, embroideries, and custom designs into something extraordinary.
🌟 Why Embroideries and Printing? Embroideries and printing are my canvas, where I weave threads of creativity and ink of imagination. From delicate stitches to bold prints, each piece carries a piece of my soul. When you wear my creations, you’re not just wearing fabric; you’re wearing a story—a story of dedication, love, and craftsmanship.
🎨 From Caps to Custom Creations In 2006, I embarked on a journey of making welding caps. My father, a skilled welder of 25 Years with the Local Union 250 in Los Angeles, CA. When he became ill and couldnt go to work, he got bored. He purchased an old sewing machine that he picked up at a garage sale, and purchased some fabric. This was the beginning of his new journey in sewing welding caps. He pulled apart the welding caps he wore during his time in Welding, made patterns and started sewing. I wasn’t very interested at the time, but began to enjoy spending time with my Dad. I believe this was the first time I could say we bonded. I’ll cherish that time forever, as he is no longer here. He passed away from Cancer ( I miss him) My dad taught me a skill that will allow me to earn money from home, so I can continue to Mother my Teenage Daughters. Thank you Dad. Those humble caps were my first brushstrokes on the canvas of my dreams. But I didn’t stop there. I expanded my horizons, diving into the world of custom items. From intricate embroidery patterns to personalized prints, I’ve crafted pieces that resonate with individual stories.
🏡 Home Is Where the Heart Stitches Being a mom was my anchor. I wanted to be there for my daughters as they navigated school, milestones, and life’s little joys. So, I turned my passion into a business—a business that allowed me to stitch memories while being present for my family. It’s a remarkable feeling to see my customers wear what I’ve poured my heart into.
